Melissa-Rose D. Cook
Melissa graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital of Health Professions in Boston, MA with a Master of
Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In 2006, she moved to North Carolina where she worked for the school system
and for private practice. Melissa has several years experience working with individuals, ranging from infants through the elderly,
and their families. Although, Melissa specializes in childhood speech and language development, she has expertise in numerous areas
of speech and language. Her expertise runs from working with children with mild mixed receptive/expressive language delays, on the
Autism Spectrum, and who are severe/profound to adults who had traumatic brain injuries and strokes that resulted in communication
difficulties, cognitive-linguistic disorders, and swallowing disorders. Melissa creates each therapy session to be inviting, energetic,
and fun.
Torryhe Cook
Torryhe Cook graduated from Simpson College in Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate
Communication emphasizing in Marketing and Advertising. Torryhe is currently a consultant for a real estate development firm
and has worked as a consultant for St. Augustine’s College in the creation of their current Allied Health program. Torryhe’s expertise
has been medical research, customer service, and creating and executing marketing plans. Torryhe, now serves Speak Easy as Director
of Operations.
